The Charitable Choice Chronicles - August 2020

While some of us might have the luxury to stay at home, safe with our loved ones during these challenging times, there are many people in Hong Kong risking their health and safety to survive and make ends meet.

Charitable Choice provides you with an array of solutions to help the needy from the comfort of your home at your fingertips. Via our user friendly website, you can purchase gift cards, grant donations, and create unique fundraising campaigns to empower the underprivileged in Hong Kong. Currently, Charitable Choice provides you the option to support 47 local charities, focusing on various causes, including education, children, elders, poverty eradication, animals, food, health, sports, arts, and many more.
$10,000 Government Grant
Most of you would have already received the $10,000 government grant. Without the ability to host in-person fundraising events this year, our charity beneficiaries are in urgent need of financial support to run their basic day-to-day operations. We'd like to encourage all our supporters to log in to our website and donate some or all of this grant to help local charities. Every donation counts!

If you can't decide which charity to support, why not help multiple charities in a single transaction? Click here to donate now!

A big thank you to those of you who have already donated some or all of your government grant to charities through our platform.

What is our Charity Vetting Process?
Charitable Choice follows a stringent process to select and partner with local charities to ensure your funds reach the chosen beneficiaries in a secure and trusted framework.

Before signing up with these charities, we conduct an enhanced vetting process to check their legal status, financials, activities to understand the structure, management, history, and programmes. We also observe their dormancy, changes in their procedures, impact on the community on an ongoing basis. We collate and transfer funds to beneficiaries every calendar quarter.

Charitable Choice discontinues association with charities who do not comply with these checks, and we have done so on several occasions since our inception in 2010. We do all this to ensure our donors use our platform with confidence.  Click here to find more about our advanced charity vetting process.

CIS Thanked Teachers in a Meaningful Way
Charity gift cards make donations interactive and meaningful. The Chinese International School (CIS) used our gift cards to thank their teachers and faculty for their dedication and hard work this past challenging year.  The members of the CIS Parents & Teachers Association (PTA) had been exploring a meaningful gift solution that could be delivered digitally. They found that Charitable Choice had the perfect solution for their problem.

"The option of choosing the gift of charity was very well received by the teachers and staff as many wanted to be able to help those in need, especially during these difficult times. Charitable Choice made the setup and process extremely easy, and having our own landing site was fantastic." the CISPTA said.
